Action-research-project

Research project in cooperation with the Tavistock Institute, London, and the Ashridge Business School, Hartfordshire, GB.

In many dialogues with our international clients three key-questions came up repeatedly:

  • What are appropriate steering and leadership practices for managing complex and virtual organizations effectively?
  • How can we create a more responsive organization without loosing stability?
  • How can we cope with the increasing complexity and dynamics?

A "complex organization" is an enterprise with supra-regional working processes spread over various geographically apart subsidiaries. They act mostly internationally or globally, therefore leadership, communication and decision processes have to be coordinated over distance.
