Shaping the future:
Change consulting for a financial service provider
Getting a 175-year-old organisation fit for the future Consulting case of a financial service provider in the context of Neuwaldegg’s change management consulting
The case for action: the digital transformation and megatrends on the financial market
A successful German financial institution with a long history sees its further development primarily influenced by the digital transformation and megatrends on the financial market. A different way of working together is needed to meet the challenges of the future.
Getting the organisation fit for the future
The aim of the project is to change the culture of the working relationships within the entire organisation. Flat hierarchies and short lines of communication make it possible to make quick decisions, in particular where the expertise lies. Managers play a key role as the generators of change and the organisation moves forward by developing their leadership skills.
Approaching the goal of change step by step
The first phase of the project is characterised by intensive work with the board of directors and the second management level. The development objective is for the willingness and understanding for change to be shared on these levels before the whole organisation is involved.
All the managers deal with and address the change, provide their input on initiatives and set personal goals during large group events. Projects are launched to introduce the new concept to the organisation and in which the work is already being done in a way that will be important for the organisation in the future – across all hierarchies with a high level of employee participation and short decision-making paths.
Managers can develop further and receive input on how to support and shape the change from their position through qualifications. A project team is responsible for monitoring the overall process, regularly reflecting on the process and intervening to bring the organisation closer to the goal of change.
Reflection and action!
This project gives a sense of how change can slowly but surely actually succeed through projects that make the future of cooperation really tangible and through constant reflection on the visible old and desired new patterns.
